I am a 25 year old based in Llanberis, North Wales. Full of psyche and into anything outdoors from Skiing, Fell Running and Surfing to Mountain Biking, Road Biking, Winter Climbing and Polar Travel.
However, I’m primarily a rock climber, climbing mostly trad up to E5. Favourite crag is Gogarth, Holyhead. While I considered a career in the outdoors whilst pursuing my SPA I decided I prefer to keep work and play separate (for maximum psyche!) and hence now work for DMM as an Accountant.
Throughout the years I’ve adventured around the world including climbing in seven countries during a five month trip through Africa, as well as many trips around Europe. However, my most recent trip was to push the boundaries of my current interest in solo travel, in an attempt to make the first solo crossing of a region called Liverpool Land in remote Arctic Greenland. Unfortunately due to matters beyond my control I wasn’t able to go alone this time, but instead completed the traverse via a new route with an all male team, and claimed the second ever successful female crossing of the region.
I also won the ‘Iceman’ race in a team of 3 other women, a 5 day self-sufficient ski adventure race travelling through the Ittoqortoormiit region of Eastern Greenland.
I hope to return to Liverpool Land in a year or so when funds permit to complete the crossing solo as originally intended.
