Terminology


Abrasion resistance

The degree to which a sock is able to withstand rubbing and chafing within the shoe.

Blister guard system

Significantly reduces friction between the sock and the skin and eliminates blisters and irritations

Crew length

A sock that extends beyond the ankle, but not past the largest part of the calf.

Cuff

A sock that is folded over at the top, usuallt above the ankle.

Cushioned

Normally a terry loop construction which helps absorb impact and reduce shock

Double density

Extra padding for support and durability

Dyeing

The permanent application of colour to the sock.

Elastic arch support

Specially designed elastic for better arch support and superior fit.

Elastic ankle support

pecially designed elastic in ankle area for prevention against injuring ligaments and ankle muscles.

Flat toe seam

Gives you superior comfort in the toe area.

In-turned welt

When the top of the sock is rolled back on itself to create a chunky feel

Left & Right foot

Asemetrical design for a perfect fit. Specially shaped construction imitating the natural anatomy of the foot.

Low cut

A short length sock that falls below the anklebone.

Over the calf

A sock that extends to the largest part of the calf.

Quarter length

Just above the ankle

Rosso toe seam

Standard application to seal a sock at the toe
